On Tuesday, September 10, Kenneth Atsenhaienton Deer, founder and former editor of The Eastern Door newspaper, will deliver the 2024 Daniel W. Kops Freedom of the Press Lecture, Deer’s topic will be “The Eastern Door: A Newspaper Born out of Crisis,” and the talk will begin at 5 p.m. in Lewis Auditorium of Goldwin Smith Hall, Room G76. Unlike past years, there will not be any livestream or official recording of the talk.
