In the early hours of March 24th, 2026, Chesterton House, a Christian fellowship at Cornell with more than 30 members, was robbed. Residents awoke to find their belongings scattered across the backyard, with laptops, headphones, wallets, and bikes missing and presumed stolen. The Ithaca Police are currently investigating this matter as it develops.

A credit card was also stolen and soon racked up hundreds of dollars in charges.

The sheer amount of damaged property and items strewn about makes it appear to be more than a single-person crime. A source close to the IPD reported that there are multiple suspects.

It is unclear how the perpetrators gained access to 115 The Knoll, as it is passcode-protected.

If anyone has information regarding the perpetrators of this crime, they are encouraged to contact Ithaca PD at (607) 272-9973.
