Sabotage! Fire Alarm Halts Walt

No trashing Barack here!

In an awkward moment before Harvard professor Stephen Walt was able to begin his lecture this evening, someone intentionally halted the speech by pulling a Goldwin Smith fire alarm.  The lecture, titled ‘Doomed to Fail: Barack Obama’s Foreign Policy’ was scheduled to begin at 4:30 but delayed briefly after somebody “intentionally pulled the fire alarm,” according to a fire marshal outside the building.

Walt, a professor of international affairs at Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, has previously criticized the president on his international affairs policies, especially his expansion of troops into Afghanistan.

The only other event scheduled in Goldwin Smith at 4:30 was author Bonnie McEneaney’s discussion of the paranormal visions of 9/11 families.

Update: Not surprisingly, the Daily Stun passingly mentions the fire alarm without going into further detail.
