Surprise, Surprise!

Cornell’s campus has a liberal bias. That’s according to the Cornell entry in Campus Reform’s series of university profiles. While we’ll be the first to acknowledge that this profile is sponsored by a conservative organization, some interesting facts do stand out:

– 96% of faculty contributions during the 2008 presidential elections were given to Democrats.

– Apparently the ring leader of the Duke “Group of 88” now has a post in Africana Studies.

– The entry counts 11 liberal campus groups and 5 conservative organizations.

– The liberal:conservative ratio of Cornell faculty could be as high as 26:1.

The entry also has a link to a great article by Judah Bellin critiquing Cornell’s affirmative action hiring policies.
