Patrick Kuehl ’24 has become the President of the Student Assembly after a week of infighting
After a week of interregnum, the SA will meet at noon to potentially decide whether Patrick Kuehl or Claire Ting will be the next president.
Over the past several days, Kuehl and incoming Ting have contested the presidency of the Student Assembly. This evening, nine of the SA’s seventeen members have signed a memorandum endorsing Kuehl.
Not several minutes following Da Silveira’s rise to power, losing EVP candidate Rocco DeLorenzo ‘24 filed a motion to dismiss Da Silveira. The motion carried, setting up a fight for filling the now-empty top job.
The College of Engineering, which has two seats on the SA, fielded three candidates. Only one was listed as a victor on yesterday’s election returns. The other two candidates allegedly fell short of the signature requirement.
