Expert Panel to Discuss Cornell Judicial System on April 21st

The 2025-26 Academic Year has brought much discussion of Cornell’s judicial processes. A group of experts will discuss its current state, proposed reforms, and their impact on Cornell’s campus climate, with a focus on promoting free expression.

The panel features: Prof. Kevin Clermont, law; Prof. Sheri Johnson, law; Christina Liang, Director, Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards; and Mahika Mehta, Lead Respondents’ Codes Counselor. The panel will be moderated by Robert Platt ‘73 JD ‘76.

The session will be held in Room G90, Myron Taylor Hall, from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21.

The session is sponsored by the Cornell Chapter of the Heterodox Academy, the Cornell Political Union, the Cornell Review, Cornell College Republicans, and Cornellians United for Free Speech.
