Nicholas J. Freitas to Speak at Cornell
On Wednesday, October 28, 2026, former Green Beret and Member of the Virginia House of Delegates Nick Freitas will speak at Cornell. The event, hosted by the Cornell Republicans, will begin at 7pm (doors open at 6:15) in the Willard Straight Hall Memorial Room.
Freitas’ speech will address the state of masculinity today, with the exact title still to be announced. The registration link is attached here.
Nick Freitas has built a strong following, championing traditional conservative and Christian values, fighting for honorable masculinity, and defending the nuclear family.
He regularly communicates with his more than 5 million followers via podcasts and other forms of media.
On a TRIGGERnometry podcast, Freitas spoke on the crisis of the modern era, namely the various paths that young men can take.
“The hope is that good men or that young men revolt in a direction that says, “I’m going to reject this aspect of toxic masculinity. I’m going to reject the feminization of men… I’m going to choose to be a good, strong, competent, masculine man who is also noble and honorable and fighting for things that are not just within my own interest, but that are true.”
Freitas also expressed his concern about young men falling into resentment.
“The other options are: “I’m just going to punish everyone who decided to treat me this way. And so I’m going to be strong, capable, and competent so I can get what I want and screw those people.'”
Freitas expressed his views on harmful influences on young men, such as Andrew Tate, but also highlighted the failures of traditionally masculine role models.
“It’s also because Andrew Tate was one of the few people sticking up for those young men when nobody else would. And so as much as I disagree with a lot of the things that Andrew pushes for, not everything, because he does push for some things that you should be strong, you should be competent. The question is why and for what purpose.
And obviously, as a father, especially as a father of daughters, I abhor some of the things that he did in the realm of pornography and everything else.
But I think it’s really important for what we might call more conservative men to understand that you dropped the ball. You dropped the ball, and you didn’t present strong role models for people to follow. In fact, you go into your churches and you treated Jesus like he was the fourth member of a boy band. Right?”
In light of the alleged sexual assault case at Cornell, to which our administration has decided to respond by banning all fraternity events for the remainder of the year, the issues of masculinity, rape culture, and the role of organizations like fraternities are all exceedingly relevant. Young men across campus and across the country must decide what type of men they wish to become. Nick Freitas’ speech may help shine a light on what path to take and what type of masculinity to emulate. Be there.
